Account Executive

Position Overview

We are seeking an account executive who is an expert in the areas of B2B sales for data management and/or analytics. In this role, you will present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects, and customers. You'll participate in the design, validation, and presentation of Promethium based on customer needs. Knowledge of or familiarity with solutions such as Starburst, Alation, Informatica, Thoughtspot, Looker, and Snowflake in a Sales capacity is preferred, with the ability to lead technical discussions and identify the right solution for our customer’s needs.

 

This is a strategic hire as this our first account executive position in the history of the company! You will report directly to the CEO with access to the company’s executives to support you in crushing your number. We are looking for someone who is not only talented, but hungry, and self-driven with great energy, passion and a drive to bring on new logos. The Account Executive role focuses exclusively on formulating and executing a sales strategy within an assigned territory, resulting in revenue growth and new customer acquisition.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively prospect, identify, qualify and develop sales pipeline

  • Close business to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual bookings objectives

  • Build strong and effective relationships, resulting in growth opportunities

  • Work closely with Professional Services team to achieve customer satisfaction

  • Work with Marketing to conduct seminars, trade shows and other marketing related events

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience selling enterprise technology in a fast-paced and competitive market

  • Goal oriented, with a track record of overachievement (President's Club, Rep of the Year, etc.)

  • Driven – possesses a strong desire to be successful

  • Disciplined – skilled in managing time and resources; sound approach to qualifying opportunities

  • Intelligent – possesses aptitude to learn quickly and establish credibility

Solutions Architect (Pre-Sales)

Location: Menlo Park, CA (available to work from home)

 

It's an exciting year for Promethium with continued rapid expansion into the $260B Data Analytics market. As Promethium expands, we continue to look for the best and brightest talent to scale with our growth opportunity.

We are seeking a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect who is an expert in the areas of data management and/or analytics. In this role, you will present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects, customers and internally supporting our Sales Team. You participate in the design, validation, and presentation of Promethium’s based on customer needs. Knowledge of or familiarity of solutions such as Starburst, Alation, Informatica, Thoughtspot, Looker, and Snowflake in a Technical Pre-Sales capacity is preferred, with the ability to lead technical discussions and identify the right solution for our customer’s needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing pre-sales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers, while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision, through online sales efforts in a sales cycle.

  • Developing and delivering high quality Promethium presentations, demonstrations, and POCs.

  • Presenting and articulating advanced product features and benefits, and technical objection handling.

  • Build demo sandboxes that incorporates other 3rd party solutions.

 

Qualifications:

  • BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable in CS or Engineering.

  • Technical experience in database, data warehouse, data lake, cloud, data catalog, data prep, and BI.

  • 5+ years of experience in data management and BI solutions including building, developing and deploying Applications and Platforms to the Cloud

  • Proven ability in performing rapid assessments of clients’ internal technology landscape and targeting use cases and deployment targets for Public Cloud technology. Ability to provide guidance in the evaluation of Promethium’s Cloud solution.

  • Enthusiasm, energy and ability to evangelize the cloud platform

  • Experience in a customer-facing, role such as consultant, technical solutions engineer or solutions architect
