Data Discovery 

The Data Navigation System (DNS) is an AI platform for BI consisting of five modules. Data Discovery, the first module, is comprised of Smart Bot and Smart Explorer.

SMART BOT™:  is a contextual data discovery product that provides API connectors for databases, data warehouses, data lakes, cloud data sources, data catalogs and metadata management tools. 

SMART EXPLORER™:  provides keyword search across all data sources, allowing you to search by name, data type, vendor or other metadata attributes. Data Explorer™ associates search terms with questions that can be addressed by search terms.

Data Modeling 

Data Modeling is the second module in the DNS Platform, and consists of three products: NLP Question Builder™, Data Map Builder™ and Directions Builder™. 

NLP Question Builder™:  is an NLP driven method that allows the user to ask a question and have that question automatically translated into a logical data model that maps to actual and live data in the environment. Question Builder™ then provides an AI-based suggestion for the most relevant data to be used in building a logical model to aid the user. 

Data Map Builder™:  provides a live and dynamic representation of the data required to complete the query. As a next-generation Entity Relationship Diagram, it can span across multiple databases and vendors, show both actual and suggested relationships, dynamically update as metadata from the data source changes, and automatically inherit existing relationships from data sources.

Directions™:  automatically generates step-by-step instructions on how to assemble the data required for the search/query including which table to select, from which vendor and which columns/fields to join from the most appropriate vendor. To facilitate collaboration, Directions™ provides one-click email, as well as one-click slack message.

SQL Builder 

SQL Builder, the third module in the DNS Platform consists of SQL AI™ 

SQL AI™ automatically converts the output from Directions™ into a valid SQL statement with no coding required. SQL AI™ also provides the ability for the modification of filters as well as other parameters for the SQL statement and integrates with 3rd party BI tools such as Tableau™.

Promethium creates a valid SQL statement with no coding required.


Data Virtualization 

The fourth module in Promethium’s DNS platform, Data Virtualization, is comprised of Kaleidoscope™ 

Kaleidoscope™ creates a virtual view of a SQL statement that can consist of data sources across multiple and different vendors.  By leveraging the state of the art technology from Apache Presto to achieve the best performance and scalability for actual data aggregation and computation, Kaleidoscope allows for powerful queries without performance degradation.


Data Governance 

The fifth and last module residing in the  DNS platform is Data Governance, and is comprised of Guardian™.

Guardian™ provides automated governance across all data sources, with visibility down to a specific query level.  Guardian will red flag duplicate data as well as highlight any data discovery issues. Lastly, Guardian provides a visualization of all available data lineage.
